Types of Material Used to Make Ninja Stars:

 

Ninja stars are small, sharp-edged throwing weapons. They come in various shapes and sizes, from 4-pointed stars to 6-pointed ninja stars. They are usually metal but can be made of plastic or paper. They are also known as shuriken; the characters for "shuriken" mean "sword hidden in hand." Historically, ninjas were said to conceal shuriken in their hands and then throw them at an unsuspecting enemy. 

These types of shuriken are still used today. The origin of the throwing star is a matter of debate; however, most think the first stars were iron horseshoes. Eventually, blacksmiths made a variety of iron or iron-looking stars designed to be thrown at enemies. Neji uses them for long-range weaponry in Naruto. Also called Shuriken-ji, these ancient weapons have been used by ninjas since at least the 12th century to deter attackers before they could close in on the assassin and strike.

Shape and Design of Shuriken

However, some types of stars can have 3 or 5 arms and an asymmetrical shape. Also, a metal star can be very durable and withstand the roughness of whatever it may come in contact with, whether it is being tossed on concrete or if it comes in contact with another weapon.

Another major advantage that metal stars have over any other material is their ease of availability, but also their cost. They are not as expensive as wood or plastic stars and are pretty easy for people to make on their own as well. 

The disadvantage of metal stars is that they can be a bit heavier than other types of ninja stars, so they may not be as accurate when they are being used. They also can bend more easily than wood or plastic and may not last as long. Most metal throwing stars you will find in stores today are made from aluminum, but they could also be made from stainless steel or titanium.

• Wooden Throwing Stars:

Pine wood is another very common material that throwing star possessors will use in making their stars. Pine wood is normally soft and easy to cut in order to get the proper size for any particular star. It is also pretty lightweight, which can be both a good and bad thing. It is good because softwood is easier to handle and can be more accurate when throwing it, but it is bad because it will not last as long when subjected to regular use.

Another major advantage that a wooden star has over a metal one is that it can be painted and will stay painted much longer than a metal star. This means that you can have many different colors of your weapon to choose from or you can design your own colors and patterns if you prefer.

Wooden stars are also very easy to paint or make decorations for. You can add additional decorations to your weapons like designs, logos, or words to personalize it and make it more unique. However, wooden ninja stars do not deal as much damage on impact as metal ones do because they tend to break apart easier.

• Plastic Throwing Stars:

Plastic throwing stars are another type of star that is becoming very popular in the market today. The main advantage that plastic has over any other material is its durability and its lightweight. Plastic-made stars are very tough and can withstand a lot of damage before they break or wear out, but at the same time, plastic does not weigh much at all either.

Use Ninja Stars Carefully!

Many martial artists and ninja groups rely on the use of ninja stars as their main weapons, which is quite an effective and unique form of self-defense.
